My Support Space is a free online resource containing interactive guides aimed at helping you to manage the impact crime has had on you. It’s easy to set up an account and get access to over 70 guides. My Support Space allows you to work through the guides at your own pace.

How we can help

We give free, confidential help to people who have been affected by crime in the West Midlands. We’re an independent charity and you can contact us for support regardless of whether you’ve contacted the police, and no matter how long ago the crime took place. You can also contact us for support regardless of your immigration status in England and Wales.

 If you call your local Victim Support team, we’ll provide support that’s personalised to you. We’ll listen with compassion and help you find ways to manage and feel safer. We can also inform you of your rights and the services that you may be entitled to. If you’d like us to, we can refer you to other specialist organisations that can also help.

Victim Support Road Bereavement and Serious Injury Project

Bereavements through road traffic collisions (RTC) are sudden and unexpected. They leave victims’ families needing high levels of support for a prolonged period of time.

The Victim Support Road Bereavement and Serious Injury Project provides a personalised support service to bereaved families following the death of a loved one as a result of an RTC. Since October 2019, the project has also helped survivors of RTCs who have suffered life changing injuries.

Each family is assigned a dedicated caseworker. They act as a single point of contact, from the initial referral, until they no longer need support. The caseworker provides support including:

  • Assisting with the funeral
  • Childcare and transportation
  • Financial assistance such as benefits and compensation claims
  • Coordinating existing support services in the region.

Referrals are made to Victim Support via the police. However, if you wish to know more about this service, please call 0300 303 1977.
