Domestic abuse peer support
This is a six-session programme for women who have experienced domestic abuse, whose individual support has been completed. The programme covers unhealthy behaviour in relationships, parenting, court process and orders, self-care and wellbeing.
Schools project
Our schools project is a one-hour session, aimed primarily at school years six to nine, covering topics such as cyberbullying and knife crime. All sessions are age appropriate and free of charge to schools within the county.
Children and young people domestic abuse project
We work with children from the age of four who have lived experience of domestic abuse. As well as working with individuals, we also offer a domestic abuse recovery toolkit (DART) programme for groups aged 11 to 16 years old to help them to feel safer, understand unhealthy behaviours and how to cope with difficult emotions.
For more information on any of these programmes, please call 0300 3030 163 or email us at vs.dorset@victimsupport.org.uk.
