Counselling

The organisations below provide specialist counselling, and other services, for victim-survivors of sexual abuse, sexual violence or domestic abuse. This is not a complete list, and other counsellors or counselling organisations are available in Lancashire.

Support from these organisations may also include ‘pre-trial’ therapy for victim-survivors in the criminal justice system.

Trust House say “we are a leading provider of specialist counselling and support services for survivors of rape and sexual abuse in Lancashire.”

Birchall Trust say they provide “counselling and support for survivors of rape, sexual abuse or sexualised violence. We offer support to anyone aged four and above affected by rape, sexual abuse or sexualised violence in Cumbria and Lancashire.”

Chorley Women’s Centre say “the counselling services we offer are free for those who have been affected by many aspects of their lives, such as relationships, family and work. The aim of counselling is to provide the client with a safe, secure, and confidential space where they can explore their difficulties with a fully qualified counsellor.”
