We’re looking for people from Sussex, aged between 18 and 24, who have experienced child sexual abuse and are willing to share their views with Victim Support.
We want to look at how we can improve our ability to support resilience in young survivors of child sexual abuse. We will then champion these views both internally for service development, and also with key stakeholders to make the criminal justice system work better for them.
Workshop date:
You would need to be available to take part in an online workshop (via Zoom) on Monday 7 February 2022, 5-7.30pm.
What will this involve?
We’d like you to have a look at the sex crimes section of our website aimed at under 18s before the workshop (approx. 30 mins) and then join a small focus group (approx. 2.5 hours). Within the focus group you will share your views on our current website content and also discuss:
- What currently works for you to support your resilience
- How you would seek more information on child sexual abuse if you needed to
- What your preferred methods of accessing information are (websites, YouTube, and social media, for example)
This workshop will be hosted by Louise and Kris from Boingboing (resilience research and practice) who have a wealth of experience hosting focus groups and supporting people with lived experience in working together to improve and develop services by co-production. We understand the difficult nature of this topic and would like to express that care and consideration will be of priority.
Due to COVID-19 the workshop will be held online, therefore you’ll need access to a computer, tablet or smartphone in order to participate.
A thank you for your time
As a thank you for your time all participates will be sent a £15 Love2Shop Voucher (via email) after the workshop has taken place.
