Ambassador
Imran Ahmed is the founding Chief Executive of the Center for Countering Digital Hate, an international not-for-profit NGO that seeks to disrupt the architecture of online hate and misinformation. He is an authority on the dynamics of social media, including what goes wrong in those spaces, such as trolling, identity-based hate, misinformation, conspiracy theories, modern extremism and fake news.
Imran worked in Parliament for several years as a political adviser on briefs including justice, communities, local government and foreign affairs. Before that, Imran worked in strategy, digital and marketing roles in the private sector.
Previously a Trustee of Victim Support, Imran is a VS Ambassador, sharing his expertise and insight and raising awareness of Victim Support and its work.
