My Support Space is a free online resource containing interactive guides aimed at helping you to manage the impact crime has had on you. It’s easy to set up an account and get access to over 70 guides. My Support Space allows you to work through the guides at your own pace. My Support Space is now also available via an app.

We give free, confidential help to people who have been affected by crime in South Yorkshire. We’re an independent charity and you can contact us for support regardless of whether you’ve contacted the police, and no matter how long ago the crime took place. You can also contact us for support regardless of your immigration status in England and Wales.

If you call your local Victim Support team, we’ll provide support that’s personalised to you. We’ll listen with compassion and help you find ways to manage and feel safer. We can also inform you of your rights and the services that you may be entitled to. If you’d like us to, we can refer you to other specialist organisations that can also help.

As well as offering support to people affected by crime, we run specialist services in South Yorkshire. These include:

Stalking

Victim Support South Yorkshire offers support to victims who have been subjected to fixated, obsessive, unwanted, and repeated behaviour from someone else. This can be recent or have happened in the past. Our stalking service can help you to cope with your situation, take control, and start to move forward from your experiences. Children and Young People

Specialist support is available to children and young people affected by crime, to help them cope and move forward from their experiences. We can also directly support their parents and carers.

Sheffield Rape and Sexual Abuse Centre (SRASAC) supports the recovery from the emotional and psychological distress caused by trauma from rape, sexual violence or sexual abuse/exploitation, whenever it happened in a person’s life. Call 0114 2412766 or email info@srasac.org.uk.

Free and confidential help for those going to court as the victim of a crime, a witness to a crime, or a family member or friend of someone who died because of a crime. Call 0300 332 1000 or email WSreferralhub@citizensadvice.org.uk. The South Yorkshire Mayor exercises the functions of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC). The key roles and responsibilities of PCCs include holding the police to account and commissioning services and providing grants to help tackle and prevent crime, while supporting vulnerable people and those affected by crime.
